CPA Alumni Association of the Year
CPA Alumnus of the Year
A separate nomination must be made for each award. All nominations must include one original and two photocopies. No videotapes, please. Nominations must be received by no later than April 1, 2005. 2005 NOMINATIONS/ELECTIONS Elections will be held at the 2005 training conference in Decatur. This year, we will be electing four (4) directors. Directors serve a three year term.
A WORD OF CAUTION:
In addition to fulfilling the responsibilities of their respective positions, NCPAA Executive Officers and Directors are also expected to Chair an NCPAA Committee, as well as assist with other special projects throughout the year. Please review your commitments and be sure you will have ample time to attend Board meetings and fulfill the responsibilities of the position before nominating yourself or accepting a nomination from someone else.
Nominations must be submitted to the NCPAA Election Committee no later than 45 days prior to the election being conducted at the Decatur conference. Nomination letter must be accompanied by a recommendation letter from the current Chief of Police as well as the current President of the Alumni Association. Nomination letters and required paperwork should be mailed to: NCPAA Nominating Committee, c/o Austin Police Department, Attn: Joe Muoz, P.O. Box 689001, Austin, TX 78768-9001.Nominations must be be received no later than 45 days prior to the Decatur conference which means they must be received no later than Friday, March 25th (postdated). At this deadline, nominations shall be declared closed.
Nominees must be current NCPAA members in good standing for at least three (3) years, and must be present in Decatur to accept the nomination. Nominees will be given one minute to address the general membership as to why they would like to serve on the Board, their reason and/or interest in running, and their qualifications to do so.
No nominations will be taken from the floor at the general membership meeting.
Nominees will be allowed to submit one 8-1/2 x 11 flyer stating their reasons/qualifications to serve on the NCPAA Board. The flyer will be posted at the NCPAA table or a central conference location for viewing.
Members must be present in Decatur to vote. There will be no absentee or proxy votes.
